Pond Scum, Inc. was formed in 1995 by Jeff and Stephanie Hutson as a small clay arts and decorative ceramics business.

Working primarily with white stoneware clay, acrylic paint and some other assorted materials, we make all of the whimsical creatures and accessories  that you see here - one at a time and all by hand.

While our original focus was mainly decorative pieces to place on a desk or shelf, we have since expanded the line to include pieces that hang on a wall and pieces that suspend from the ceiling.  Some of our newer, more functional items include clocks, light switch plate and outlet covers and ceiling fan pulls.
